The Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering Technology (Aircraft Maintenance) program of Lincoln University College, Malaysia (LUC) deals with design, manufacturing, service, and testing of aircraft. The students also learn the techniques of operating an aircraft and rocket. The most important aspects of it are designing, maintenance, manufacturing, services, testing of aircraft like capability, components and various other parts. The various skills that can be gained by the course include Good numerical and mathematical skills, problem-solving skills, eye to details, good interpretation of figures, plans and machines.
Program Aim
The program aims to provide the students with the skills and knowledge to create and maintain the machines as well as improve the quality of life for those who depend on and use them. Through this program the students will learn how to design, manufacture, maintain, operate and support all varieties of aerospace vehicles. It is a portion of aerospace engineering devoted solely to the mechanics of the flight of crafts operating inside the earth's atmosphere.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can find jobs in the aviation industry, in government as well as private airlines. Along with the aviation industry, these graduates are hired by defense establishments for building and maintenance of defense aircraft.
