PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Master of Computing KPT/JPS (PA 10529)07/24

This Master of Computing program offers intense study in computer science and is designed for graduates from areas other than computing who want to learn core computing abilities or expand on their existing expertise. Postgraduate students will have the opportunity to develop and exhibit knowledge, understanding, and practical abilities in basic and specialized computer issues, as well as the attributes and skills required for group collaboration and technical presentation. The goal of this course is to share advanced information from a variety of Computer Science subjects. It is appropriate for people who want to improve their computing skills in order to contribute more effectively to the IT sector or pursue research and development in academia.

For successful completion of Masters degree in Lincoln University College, each candidate should publish minimum of Two research articles in Scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

The program Master of Computing is designed to address industry need for employees who have considerable exposure to relevant, advanced computing areas. The program will produce graduates who are:

  1. PEO1:  Knowledgeable and skillful in handling challenges and opportunities of rapidly evolving Computer Science settings in IT, corporate and government sectors.
  2. PEO2:  Capable of working successfully as a professional with the practice of appropriate values and ethics in various worlds Computer Science applications by taking into consideration the societal benefit
  3. PEO3:  Able to communicate in a team to initiate, execute and evaluate impact on Computer Science of the global environment for the development and practice critical thinking skill and effective managerial skills to solve problems as a leader.
  4. PEO4:  Competent to be engage in life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change for Computer Science in the public, private, national, and international spheres.

Entry Requirements :

  1. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) of Computing or in the area of science and technology or related to computing, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
  2. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) of Computing or in the area of science and technology or related to computing, with CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous Internal assessment process; OR
  3. A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) of Computing or in the area of science and technology or related to computing, with CGPA less than 2.50, with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a relevant field may be accepted.

For candidates without Computing Degree, prerequisite modules in computing will be offered to adequately prepare them.
