Diploma in Architecture program in Lincoln University College provides a balanced combination of creativity, humanities along with sciences by conceptualizing the design of individual buildings, urban configurations and landscapes. This course will equip students with fundamental skills and concepts involved in architecture, including drafting, planning and design of existing and emerging economic, technical and social needs.The innovative design program is balanced with the history & theories of architecture, graphics communication, architectural digital media, urban planning& design, as well as construction,structural design and environmental design. Our new Department of Architecture is a unique community, rich in diversity that allows students to explore creative design approaches, with an international faculty prominent across the field and supportive to push the boundaries of the field to extend their own abilities in exciting new directions.

Program Aim

The course is designedto equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful careerin architecture, as well as providing an essential understanding of elementsrelating to life and work on urban and non urban aspects.

Aims of Diploma in Architecture programme are:

•To equip students with basic introduction andknowledge to the architecture production and specialized skills in the area ofarchitectural technological world.

•Tocontribute to the understanding of architectural activities those are initiatedas a collective, effort and relational attempt including the policy contextsand social political and economic processes.

•To describes the relationship between people andbuildings, and between buildings and their environment, and of the need torelate buildings and the spaces between them to human needs and scale;

•Toprovide an interdisciplinary approach for careers at managerial and operationallevel with understanding about thebuilding construction and structural design for urban and non urban sector

•Tohelp architectural design, plan and management job for the industry knowledge,skills and understanding needed to secure a position in the competitiveindustry.

Career Opportunities

Architecture graduates will find careers in infrastructure development and maintenance, engineering organizations, research technology institutes, as well as technical careers in industries, universities and corporate jobs. The course also provides the students with the chance to pursue post graduate studies in specialized subjects of architecture. Intake and Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements :

Passed the Certificate of Education (SPM) or equivalent with at least three credits in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one Science / Technical / Vocational subject and graduated from English; or
Passing O-Level with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and a pass in English; or
Pass Certificate (Level 3 MOH) in a related field or equivalent recognized state with a CGPA of at least 2.00; or
Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 and pass SPM with at - least credit in one (1) subject and pursued his studies in the same midwife; or
Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.

Passing the subjects of Art Education or Engineering Drawings in the SPM or equivalent; or
Passing Test Portfolio for students who fail or do not take the subjects of Art Education or Engineering Drawings in the SPM or equivalent.

For international students, the scores of Bahasa Inggeris Test as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International 550 Bahasa Inggeris Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or equivalent. If students do not meet these criteria. PPT must offer English proficiency courses to ensure students' proficiency adequate to meet the needs of the program. This is usually done through the evaluation process.
