Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering KPT/JPS(FA 2753)09/23

Our program, Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering, provides the students with the advanced knowledge and skills related to the field of electronics engineering as well as telecommunications. Students will learn about the state of the art technologies, systems and infrastructures as far as telecommunication applications are considered. Our program has been designed in accordance with the present needs of the industry and comprises theoretical as well as practical sessions.

For successful completion of Masters degree in LUC, each candidate should publish minimum of Two research articles in scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln affiliation.

Program Aim

We offer an in-depth understanding of all the aspects related to telecommunications networks and aim towards the development of the technological skills as well as competitive skills of the students, required for the designing of advanced telecommunication systems and networks. Students will also acquire analytical skills and thus it will prepare the students for a professional career in this field.

Entry Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree [Level 6 of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MOH)] Engineering / Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by the Senate of Lincoln University College; or
Bachelor's Degree (Level 6 MOH) in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent but does not achieve a CGPA of 2.50, may be admitted subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field.

For International students

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 or equivalent.
If the student does not meet the criteria, Lincoln University College must offer an English language skills course to ensure the student's proficiency is adequate to meet the requirements of the program. This is usually done through an assessment process.

Note:
For candidates with a selected Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MOH) of Science or Technology or equivalent (non-Engineering or Engineering Technology), a prerequisite module in Engineering and Technology, Engineering must be offered to prepare them for further study.

Bachelor's Degree holders (Level 6, MOH) with a CGPA above 2.0 but less than 2.5 can be admitted but must go through a rigorous internal evaluation process.
