PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Master in Nursing (Education) KPT/JPS(FA 1531)10/22

Nurses are an integral part of the health care sector. Lincoln University College aims to offer advanced nursing course to students, who are willing to dedicate their life towards the well-being of the people. New and advanced nursing strategies also form the core of our learning program. Training sessions are also an integral part of our nursing program. We also impart education regarding the aspect that the students should also take care of the emotional needs of the patients.

For successful completion of Masters degree in LUC, each candidate should publish minimum of Two research articles in scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln affiliation.

We aim to offer the students a comprehensive understanding of the aspects related to nursing. Students are imparted training regarding the appropriate diagnosis of patients, so that they can offer or suggest treatment procedures that would prove to be beneficial for the patients. Students are also educated about the various advanced treatment procedures. We also emphasize on the acquiring of the advanced nursing skills by the students, which would help them to work as independent professionals in the professional field of nursing.

Entry Qualifications :

  1. Basic Degree in Nursing (Level 6 MQF) or Nursing related degree (Level 6 MQF) with minimum of 2.75 as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
  2. Basic Degree in Nursing (Level 6 MQF) or Nursing related degree (Level 6 MQF) not meeting CGPA 2.75 but above of 2.50 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; and
  3. Registered with Nursing Board or its equivalent; and
  4. Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC); and
  5. Minimum 3 Years working experience for bachelor’s degree (Level 6 MQF) holders; and
  6. Minimum 1 year of teaching experience

International students require to have one of the following approvals, namely:

  1. A pass in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall Band Score of minimum 5.5; or
  2. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
    1. TOEFL Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) a minimum score of 515.
    2. TOEFL Computer Based Test (TOEFL CBT) a minimum score of 215.
    3. TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL IBT) a minimum score of 80.
  3. Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
  4. Cambridge Proficiency English (CPE)
  5. Pearson Test of English (PTE)

Health status:

  1. Student must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner recognized by the recruiting institution
  2. Students with the following medical conditions, HIV/ AIDS, Hepatitis B or C any mental health disorders, Epilepsy and other chronic disease cannot be admitted into the programme.
  3. Students must not have any physical or impaired senses that hinders nursing dexterity.
